REL Reaction Group

Get Help and Stay on Track with Your Job Search!

Real Estate Lives is starting a new small group called REL Reaction Group! The group will help job seekers get their job search questions and issues addressed by the leaders and fellow job seekers, as well as help job seekers get unstuck and avoid falling into fear, depression or inaction that can lengthen the job search and cost significant lost salary.

Our goal is to keep job seekers on track so they win a job faster!

We also plan to include time for hands-on work on resumes, cover letters, career portfolios, etc, so please bring your laptop to each meeting.

Meetings are held every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursday of each Month (so they don’t conflict with our REL General Meetings on the first Thursday of each month).

LOCATION:
11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Centerpointe Building – Conference Room
5100 W. Lemon Street
Tampa, FL 33607

The group will invite questions related to all aspects of the job search process, and address issues related to them that are preventing job seekers from staying on track in their job search.

The group will be led by 4 of the REL Volunteers, including Larry LaBelle, Janice Woody, Diana Grandy and Jack Brubaker.

Below is the list of job search tasks we will address in this group via questions from the job seekers. It also covers SMART goals and accountability that are the key to success in this group.

  1. Provide each group member with 10 dedicated minutes of assistance related to any step in the job search process (e.g. resumes, cover letters, interviewing, etc.). Help will come from both the Group Leaders and the other members of the group.
  2. Set SMART Goals for each group member where each goal has a realistic completion date.
  3. Assign an Accountability Partner to each group member who will hold its partner accountable for the SMART Goals he/she have set.
  1. For the goals the job seeker has completed, the accountability partner will praise those successes so the job seeker feels a sense of accomplishment that will help spur on the completion of future goals
  2. If a job seeker fails to complete a goal, the accountability partner will be supportive in handling the issue and will simply ask the job seeker, “What got in your way and stopped you?”
  3. A discussion will then ensue between the accountability partner and the job seeker to figure out what the issue is, find a way to resolve it, and then set a new date for this particular goal to be achieved.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Larry LaBelle via email at larrylabelle@trainingtamer.com.

Held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursday of each month (so they don’t conflict with our REL General Meetings on the first Thursday of each month).
