Regional Manager – Carteret Management (Tampa)

Job Description

Seeking a Regional Manager for a portfolio of affordable housing properties – HUD 202, HUD 236, project-based Section 8, LIHTC, HOME, Bond, SAIL, etc.

Monitor portfolio for compliance and property management activities. Oversee property operations with a view to protect and ensure the long term viability of the assets. Have first-hand experience managing multifamily properties in the affordable housing market, supervising employees, interfacing with residents, interacting with vendors/evaluating contracts, as well as understanding programmatic requirements for each site (associated with HUD/LIHTC regulations).

Travel: Position is based in Carteret’s corporate office (Tampa), but portfolio may extend to St. Petersburg, Tampa, Brandon, and into Orlando. Regional Manager will spend majority of time performing site visits and working with on-site personnel on issues of physical property condition, file compliance, customer service and employee development.

Responsibilities: Regional manager will monitor property performance, evaluate and oversee on-site staff, develop and train on corporate policies and procedures, maintain high level of expertise on affordable housing industry updates and best practices. Position will involve interaction with owners, Boards of Directors, vendors and subcontractors, and other relevant partners. Ideal candidate should be organized, able to work with minimal supervision, professional, and have strong communication skills. Should be able to analyze financial statements, prepare budgets, evaluate contracts, and work with OneSite leasing software. Regional Manager will also be closely involved with site preparation for HUD MORs, FHFC file audits, REAC inspections, and other regulatory reviews. Will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
