Description – Assistant Community Manager

The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the Community Manager/Administrator in the general administration and physical operation of the community. A strong emphasis should be placed on marketing and leasing of the community in order to ensure that an acceptable rental occupancy level is maintained.


Applicant must be fluent in Spanish.
Experience required in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Yardi Voyager. Must be friendly, a fast learner and self-motivated.

  • Ability to conduct yourself, both at work and off duty, in a manner that does not adversely affect the image of the Community.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, proper automobile liability insurance and dependable transportation that is in good operating condition.
  • Ability to maintain a professional image and attitude in keeping with the objectives of the Community and the residents’ welfare.
  • Ability to respect residents’ privacy and maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Community business.
  • Ability to work with others. Ability to lead and motivate others in the absence of the On-site Manager/Administrator. The ability and willingness to accept and follow the directions of others.
  • Possession of character traits of honesty, dependability, courtesy and cooperativeness.
  • Ability to comply with all governmental laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, fair housing, environmental and safety laws and regulations.
  • Ability to comply with all community policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate well with residents and applicants orally and in writing. Some responsibilities include filing, answering phones, processing applications and backing up the manager with other day-to-day tasks
  • Above-average computer and organization skills are required.
  • Must pass drug and background screening.
  • Some weekends required
